Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andres Machete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machete's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Sandstorm - Darude. The crowd seem to be enjoying Aldo's choice of entrance music: Run This Town. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo slips a jab from Machete.
Jose Aldo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aldo walks into a jab.
Aldo thumps Machete with a low kick.
Machete ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Aldo moves away.
Aldo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Machete counters with a nice body shot.

Aldo's corner calls for a 1-2. Aldo obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Aldo clobbers Machete with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Aldo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Machete lands the left hand.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Aldo checks a leg kick.
Machete avoids the head kick by Aldo.
The fighters circling - Machete throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Aldo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Machete's head.
Machete just misses with a punch to the body.
Aldo is looking to clinch but Machete is avoiding it.
Aldo sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Aldo sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andres Machete dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Aldo takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Aldo is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Machete to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Machete manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Aldo manages to get himself to full guard.

Machete tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aldo was well out of range. Poor timing from Machete.

Aldo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Machete's half guard.

Aldo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Machete is just riding it out for now. Aldo eventually gives up the hold.

That was a close second round but I would say that Andres Machete will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Machete breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Aldo misses with a takedown attempt - Machete sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Machete walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Aldo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Aldo tries for a takedown but Machete sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Aldo lands a head kick. Machete smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Andres Machete.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Machete, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
