Moore has chosen Thunderhorse as his entrance music. Rolando Gracie could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Derick Moore's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derick Moore!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Chad Campbell and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore throws a right and a left that Gracie avoids nicely.
Moore drives through with a takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Moore sitting in guard here, content to control.
Moore trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Derick Moore hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Moore pushes Gracie up against the cage in a clinch.

Moore jumps into guard, dragging Gracie to the mat.
Gracie not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Moore looking for a sweep. Not yet Moore, not yet.
Moore working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Moore can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gracie controls the pace.
Rolando Gracie has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Moore shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gracie napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Moore has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Gracie dives in and scores a takedown into Moore's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Moore is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Gracie works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Moore trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Gracie sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Gracie wants to finish this one by submission but Moore is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gracie.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Moore tries to hold on but Gracie pushes him away.
Gracie manages to capitalize on a mistake by Moore to take his back!
Gracie is looking for the choke from the back position but Moore is controlling his hands well.
I really don't envy Moore right now.
Moore is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Gracie misses with an elbow to the head.
Moore is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gracie is hanging on to Moore's back as he tries to escape.

Gracie keeps control of the position as Moore tries to break free.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Moore tries to roll but Gracie sticks to his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Moore shoots in and gets a takedown into Gracie's guard.
Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Moore doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gracie is tightening it up a little... Moore has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Moore reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Moore taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gracie!
