Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Blaze Bailey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Howlett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bailey comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem - Lose Yourself. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blaze Bailey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Howlett!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Columbo Gatti and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bailey is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bailey wants to clinch.
Howlett scores with a jab.
Bailey misses with a low kick.
Howlett looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Bailey feints and then cracks Howlett's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Howlett down.
Howlett checks the leg kick.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Bailey.
Howlett lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Howlett fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Blaze Bailey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Howlett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Howlett takes a kick to the side of the head.

Bailey fails in his attempt to clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Howlett ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bailey moves away.
Howlett moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Howlett throws a sloppy head kick and Bailey moves out of range easily.

A low kick from Bailey is predictable there

so Howlett counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Bailey controls Howlett momentarily but Howlett frees himself.

Howlett stands and throws Bailey's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Howlett is trying to ground and pound but Bailey uses the momentary lack of control by Howlett to regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Howlett is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bailey doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Howlett.

Howlett is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bailey wants to get back to his feet.
Howlett misses with a head shot. Bailey uses the momentum to regain guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Howlett tries to free his leg and advance position but Bailey is retaining full guard.
Howlett is looking to work some ground and pound but Bailey has wrist control.
Howlett pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bailey is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Howlett postures up and lands a big shot to Bailey's brow.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Howlett with a flurry of punches that miss.

Howlett has gone for a leg lock! Bailey slips out almost immediately though and dives into Howlett's guard.

Bailey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Howlett has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bailey has managed to get both his arms back between Howlett's legs - danger averted.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Howlett dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Bailey throws a leg kick that is checked
and Howlett counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bailey is looking to slow Howlett down with leg kicks.
Howlett swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Howlett circles away from the clinch attempt.
Good work by Howlett as he checks the leg kick.
Howlett tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bailey was well out of range. Poor timing from Howlett.

Bailey takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Howlett moves out of range of the body kick from Bailey.
Howlett thuds a left hand into Bailey's body.
Good work by Howlett as he checks the leg kick.
Bailey tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Howlett feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Howlett drops back looking for a leg! Bailey is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bailey manages to kick Howlett off! Howlett jumps back into Bailey's guard.

James Howlett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Howlett is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bailey's half guard.
Howlett seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bailey does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Howlett looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Bailey covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
