The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanerva looks to land a right hand but Rommel moved out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kanerva. Rommel does a little dance to reset his feet.

Kanerva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rommel's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Rommel tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kanerva controls from within his opponent's guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kanerva is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Rommel has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Kanerva is looking to defend but Rommel has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Kanerva! Rommel pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Kanerva taps out and this one is all over!

Erwin Rommel opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
