Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Constrictor Boa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eiji Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Constrictor Boa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eiji Tate!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boa misses with a takedown attempt
and Tate connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


It looks like Constrictor Boa has been cut.

Tate gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Boa to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Boa is looking to work some ground and pound but Tate has wrist control.
Boa trying to control the position from guard on top but Tate is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Boa cracks Tate with a solid left hand.
Boa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boa missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Boa trying to control but Tate is working from the bottom.
Tate keeping full guard, as Boa tries to pass.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Boa thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Tate utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Boa sitting in guard here, content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boa slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Boa is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tate knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Boa has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Tate is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Boa yanks on the arm and Tate is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Boa.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Constrictor Boa!
In his post fight interview, Constrictor Boa started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
