Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Kesler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Killer Benji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kesler comes to the cage accompanied by Warrior-Swollen Members. Killer Benji has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jason Kesler's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Kesler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Killer Benji!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benji fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kesler has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Killer Benji seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kesler.
Kesler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Benji swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kesler dives in and grabs Benji's left leg, looking for a takedown. Benji pushes down on Kesler's head and hops out.
Benji with a nice cross.
Kesler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Benji as he jumps to the side.
Kesler tries for a takedown but Benji circles away easily
and Benji counters with a one-two to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Kesler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kesler is breathing heavily.
Benji lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Benji gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Benji wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kesler is looking for a takedown.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Benji.
Kesler wants a takedown.
Benji wants to get back to striking at distance but Kesler won't allow it.

Benji breaks from the clinch.
Kesler defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Benji.
Benji feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kesler's calf.

Kesler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Benji as he jumps to the side.
Kesler has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Benji.
Kesler takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Benji buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Benji shoots in looking for a takedown but Kesler manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Benji's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Benji throws a head kick but Kesler moves out of range.
Benji lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Benji scores with a head kick. Kesler tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Benji shoots in looking for a takedown but Kesler manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Benji's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Benji shoots in and bounces Kesler off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Benji trying to control the position from guard on top but Kesler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Benji decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kesler, up you get!

Benji takes the fight into the clinch.

Benji pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kesler misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Benji lands a lovely overhand right.
Kesler tries to land a body kick
and Benji counters with a three punch combo that has Kesler backing up. Kesler nods at Benji to acknowledge the strikes.
Kesler shoots in for a double leg but Benji sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A decent looking cross lands there for Benji.
Benji goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Kesler will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Benji throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Benji lands with a nice combination. Kesler backs away looking to recover.
Kesler showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Benji.

Benji tries to sprawl but Kesler drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Kesler is trying to work for a kimura but Benji is defending well.
Benji won't allow Kesler to pass to mount.
Kesler wants to control but Benji is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Benji is controlling Kesler's trapped leg to prevent Kesler from advancing to side control.
Kesler tries to stand but can't do so whilst Benji controls his leg.

Kesler wants to work for an arm triangle but Benji is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Benji pushes Kesler off looking to stand but Kesler dives back in and keeps control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kesler trying to control the action but Benji is working from the bottom.

Benji pushes Kesler off and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Killer Benji dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Kesler misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kesler tries to clinch up but Benji circles away and keeps his distance.
Benji lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kesler's sensitive parts.
Benji fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kesler on the side of the head.
A left and a right from Benji both land. Nice combination.
Benji connects with a right hand. Kesler shakes it off.


Kesler is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kesler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Benji pinned against the cage. Benji gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Oh Kesler is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Benji lands a nice looking body kick.
Kesler seems to have got his legs back now.
Benji lands with a kick to the temple. Kesler shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Benji scores with a one two! Kesler had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Benji throws a head kick but Kesler moves out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Benji lands a brutal head kick. Kesler looks out on his feet and Benji throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Killer Benji!
Killer Benji decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
