Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marshall Mathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Patton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Marilyn Manson - Born Villain . Mathers has chosen Superman as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patton lands a front kick.
Mathers uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Patton has time to react.
Mathers throws out a powerful jab.
A bone on bone clash there as Patton blocks the leg kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Mathers. That's going to slow Patton down.
Mathers blocks a low kick nicely.
Mathers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mathers connects with a jab.
Mathers throws a leg kick that is checked
and Patton counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Marshall Mathers has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mathers finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Mathers throws a chopping leg kick but Patton manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Mathers throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Patton on the side of the head.
Mathers feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pattons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Patton drops Mathers with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mathers looks back up at him and smiles so Patton waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Mathers throws a solid leg kick but Patton takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Mathers.
Mathers tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Patton was well out of range. Poor timing from Mathers.
Patton uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mathers.
Patton avoids the head kick by Mathers.
Mathers throws a looping overhand right but Patton ducks down to avoid it.
Patton jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mathers tries to land a leg kick but Patton saw it coming and moves away.
Patton lands with a nice body punch.

Mathers throws a shot from downtown. Patton moves away and avoids it.

Patton fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Patton catches Mathers with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Mathers forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
