PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and matthew harvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams comes to the cage accompanied by Ya Boy- Rock and Roll. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
harvey pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Williams looks for a takedown but harvey sprawls well.

harvey has Williams up against the cage in a clinch.
Williams tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

harvey turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and harvey manages to end up in side control.

Williams changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. harvey tries to avoid it but Williams manages to keep hold of a leg and drag harvey to the ground. harvey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Horrible takedown by Williams or perhaps it was just good defense by harvey which made him look bad.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as harvey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Williams escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. harvey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Williams had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. harvey is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Williams Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take harvey's back instead.

Williams connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for harvey to escape the position.
Williams lands strikes to the head.

You can see the frustration on harvey's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now harvey is on top in guard.
harvey works over Williams with some ground and pound from guard.
harvey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well harvey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
