Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lindemann wants to clinch.
Lindemann gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Karelin counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Lindemann shoots for a double leg takedown but Karelin sprawls well. He's pushed Lindemann's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lindemann misses with a takedown
and Karelin counters with a single leg into guard. Lindemann didn't expect that.
Aleksanteri Karelin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wolfgang Lindemann.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Karelin engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Karelin wants to pass the guard but Lindemann is keeping the position.
Karelin stands up over Lindemann, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Karelin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Karelin won't allow Lindemann to get back to his feet.

Karelin lands a couple of digs.
Karelin stays in close to Lindemann's body and controls the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Aleksanteri Karelin just wasn't active enough.
Karelin connects with a right hand. Lindemann shakes it off.
Karelin throws a hook but Lindemann avoids it easily.
Karelin throws a lazy right hand but Lindemann sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Karelin lands a left and a right that sends Lindemann crashing to the canvas! Karelin dives into mount looking to finish!
Lindemann is rocked!
It looks like Wolfgang Lindemann has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lindemann tries to lock up and control but Karelin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Lindemann is still in real trouble! Can Karelin finish him?
Karelin is landing with some decent strikes but Lindemann is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Karelin unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Lindemann wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Karelin celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aleksanteri Karelin!
Aleksanteri Karelin was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
