Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Okimitsu Fujii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CJ Johnston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujii fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Johnston throws a lazy head kick
and Fujii counters with a big head kick but Johnston shrugs it off.
Fujii lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Johnston is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fujii changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnston tries to avoid it but Fujii manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnston to the ground. Johnston escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fujii has had enough of the clinch but Johnston keeps him there for the moment.

Johnston tries to circle away but Fujii has him pinned against the cage.
Fujii tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Johnston smiles and moves away.

Johnston wants the takedown. Fujii is fighting it off but Johnston persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Fujii's guard against the cage.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Fujii is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Johnston is aware though and is defending well.

Fujii shoots in for a takedown but Johnston shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Johnston throws a low kick but it's checked well by Fujii.
Horrible takedown by Johnston or perhaps it was just good defense by Fujii which made him look bad.
