The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vujovic fails in his attempt to clinch.
Vujovic should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Rodriguez shoots for a takedown but Vujovic saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rodriguez.
Rodriguez lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Vujovic is looking to clinch.
Vujovic uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rodriguez.

and Rodriguez counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vujovic is trying to stand up here but Rodriguez is controlling him well.
Rodriguez working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Rodriguez has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Vujovic has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Rodriguez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
