Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has chosen Brazilian national anthem by Ill Nino as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Ross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ross napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Gracie advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie goes for an armbar but Ross turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Ross.
Ross landing with the ground and pound.

Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ross defends well.

Gracie has his foot on Ross's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ross works his way back into a safe position though.
Ross throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gracie works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Ross avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ross is in close to Gracie's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Ross seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ross can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ross gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gracie isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ross stacks Gracie on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ross!

Gracie stops Ross from passing to mount.
Ross wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working.
Gracie tries to bench press Ross off him but Ross keeps the position.
You can see the frustration on Gracie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gracie takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

It looks like Rickson Gracie has been cut.

Ross grinds an elbow into Gracie's temple.

That has opened up Rickson Gracie's cut even more.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ross is chipping away with strikes.

Rickson Gracie's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rickson Gracie's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
