The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drominov misses with a low kick.
Drominov wants to clinch
and Drake counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Drake.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Drake seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Drake wants to control from the top but Drominov keeps moving.

Drake tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Drake has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Drake wants to take a breather but Drominov manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Drake.

Drake goes for an armbar but Drominov turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Drominov.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Drake is on top in guard.

Drake is working for a kimura but Drominov is defending it quite comfortably.

Drake is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Drominov still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Drominov has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Drominov misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Drake feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Drominov is looking for a sweep. Drake is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Drake is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Drake has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Drominov's face.
Drake has control of Drominov's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Drominov regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Drake postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Drominov looks a forlorn figure.

BOOM! Drake connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Drake postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Drominov is out cold - huge knockout for Drake!
