Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ernesto Hooster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Garry Dupuis!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Hooster.
Hooster tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hooster wants to clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dupuis lands a body punch.
Dupuis is looking to break free of the clinch but Hooster has double underhooks.
Dupuis has had enough of the clinch but Hooster keeps him there for the moment.
Hooster's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Ernesto Hooster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dupuis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hooster has him pressed against the cage.
Hooster unloads a knee to the mid-section. Dupuis lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Ernesto Hooster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Garry Dupuis.

Dupuis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hooster has him pressed against the cage.
Hooster throws a knee to the head but misses.
Dupuis swings wildly with an uppercut but Hooster uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dupuis drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hooster pulls his leg out and moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hooster looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hooster tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dupuis swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hooster is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Dupuis throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hooster lands with a slapping head kick.

Hooster wants to clinch up but Dupuis keeps it at a distance.

Dupuis closes the distance and clinches.
Dupuis tries to pull guard but Hooster holds him up against the cage and eventually Dupuis drops back down to his feet.
Dupuis takes an elbow to the temple.
Dupuis goes for a takedown attempt but Hooster pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Dupuis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hooster won't be happy with that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hooster is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Dupuis has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Dupuis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hooster tries to bench press Dupuis off him but Dupuis keeps the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ernesto Hooster dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dupuis is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hooster gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Hooster lands an elbow inside that Dupuis shrugs off.

Dupuis has had enough of the clinch but Hooster keeps him there for the moment.

Hooster bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

and Dupuis counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dupuis.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hooster wants to stand but Dupuis is controlling the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dupuis is pushing down on Hooster's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hooster is fighting to maintain full guard but Dupuis has managed to sneak the leg through.

Garry Dupuis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Dupuis looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Garry Dupuis has got the better of the ground game so far.
Dupuis trying to control the action but Hooster is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hooster is trying to get back to full guard.
Dupuis perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Hooster looks like he's trying to stand up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Dupuis stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

and Dupuis counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Dupuis passes Hooster's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Dupuis works his way into full mount!

Hooster tries to hold on but Dupuis postures up.
Dupuis trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Dupuis has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hooster's face.

Dupuis has hold of Hooster's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hooster manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Dupuis goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hooster turns into him and now he's in Dupuis's guard.

Garry Dupuis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Dupuis has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
