Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Lazarus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lazarus's choice of entrance music: Last Resort. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kirk Lazarus was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kirk Lazarus!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lazarus cracks Gomez with a good jab.

Gomez moves into the clinch.
Gomez is trying to maintain a safe position but Lazarus gets an underhook and turns Gomez into the cage.
Gomez tries to circle away but Lazarus has him pinned against the cage.
Lazarus on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Gomez takes a shot to the head.
Lazarus slowing the pace effectively.
Lazarus is trying to push Gomez away but Gomez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
A right hand to the body from Lazarus.
Lazarus has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Gomez after a bit of a struggle.
Lazarus avoiding damage as Gomez throws knees to the body.
Gomez trying to control the position but instead, Lazarus has worked for underhooks and has pushed Gomez into the cage.

Lazarus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lazarus misses with a two punch combination.
Gomez fails with a takedown attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gomez checks a low kick from Lazarus.
Gomez lands with a cross.
Lazarus throws out a leg kick but Gomez moves out of range and Lazarus only half commits.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lazarus throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gomez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Gomez is rocked!
Lazarus cracks Gomez with a left hook right on the temple and Gomez goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Lazarus lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Gomez is OK!
