Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Martin Zaromskis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zaromskis comes to the cage accompanied by Moment of Peace. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Martin Zaromskis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrew Jones!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaromskis does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Zaromskis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zaromskis wants it to stay on the feet.
Zaromskis throws a chopping leg kick but Jones manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Zaromskis throws a half hearted mid kick.
Jones drops his hands momentarily and Zaromskis takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Jones scores with a jab.
Zaromskis misses with a body kick.
Zaromskis misses with a body kick.
Jones misses with a double jab
and Zaromskis counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Jones throws a body punch but Zaromskis moves out of range.
Jones chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Zaromskis attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Zaromskis scores with the left hand. Jones knows he should have avoided that one.

Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zaromskis.

enabling Zaromskis to counter with a crisp jab.
Zaromskis misses with a head kick.
Zaromskis throws a leg kick but Jones checks it.
Jones scores with a nice right hand.
Jones throws a hook but Zaromskis blocks it.
Jones looks to land a body kick but Zaromskis moved away.
Zaromskis swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.
Zaromskis tries to land a leg kick but Jones saw it coming and moves away.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jones misses the shot to the body.

Zaromskis throws a hook but Jones blocks it.
Jones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Zaromskis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Zaromskis scores with a leg kick.
Zaromskis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Jones slips under a jab.
Zaromskis lunges at Jones with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jones's hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zaromskis throws a leg kick which misses Jones's front leg but catches the back leg as Jones tries to avoid it.
Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Zaromskis which made him look bad.
Martin Zaromskis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Jones.
Jones lands with a straight right. Zaromskis didn't see that one coming.
Zaromskis fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones.
Jones scores with a jab.

Zaromskis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Zaromskis.
Jones has a takedown stuffed.
Jones takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Jones misses with a double jab.
Decent striking displayed by Zaromskis there.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zaromskis moves away.
Zaromskis lands with a nice body kick.
Zaromskis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Zaromskis to counter with a crisp jab.
Jones checks a low kick from Zaromskis.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Zaromskis turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Zaromskis does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jones is trying desperately to land a takedown but Zaromskis is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Jones.
Zaromskis plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Zaromskis fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jones on the side of the head.
Zaromskis throws a front kick aimed at Jones's knee but Jones avoids it well.
Jones lands the left hand.
Zaromskis throws a leg kick
and Jones counters with a nice leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Zaromskis throws out a leg kick but Jones moves out of range and Zaromskis only half commits.
Zaromskis bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Some bone on bone action there as Jones checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Martin Zaromskis dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Zaromskis throws a leg kick
and Jones counters with a nice body shot.
Zaromskis lands a head kick!


It looks like Andrew Jones has been cut.
Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zaromskis sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Zaromskis pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jones throws a low kick, looking for Zaromskis's leg but Zaromskis calmly moves out of range.
Jones swings widly with a right hand
and Zaromskis counters with an outside leg kick.
Zaromskis throws a body kick that misses.
Jones takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Zaromskis lands a body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
An inside leg kick lands from Zaromskis.
Zaromskis connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Zaromskis.
Jones takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Zaromskis fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jones has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Zaromskis fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones.
Zaromskis avoids a kick to the body.
Jones looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Jones has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Zaromskis takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zaromskis looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range.

Zaromskis tries a head kick but it misses.
Jones loads up on a big right hand but Zaromskis slips the punch.
Zaromskis throws the kick towards the body but Jones avoids it.

Jones manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Zaromskis on his heels. He'll look to pass Zaromskis's guard now, I'm sure.
Zaromskis is trying to control the position but Jones postures up.

Zaromskis is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jones is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zaromskis preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Zaromskis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jones is in close to Zaromskis's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Zaromskis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones postures up.

Zaromskis looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.
Jones sitting in guard, not really doing much.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones throws a strike but Zaromskis rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Zaromskis postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones working a defensive guard here.
Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Zaromskis gets back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Andrew Jones's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!


A looping hook to the body misses from Zaromskis. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet.
Zaromskis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Zaromskis on the side of the head.
Zaromskis takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Zaromskis throws a combination that misses
and Jones counters with a left to the body.
Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jones lands a body shot.
Jones fails to land with a series of punches.
Martin Zaromskis is winning the standup battle so far.

Jones looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Zaromskis!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zaromskis is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it.
Andrew Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Jones works to advance to full mount. Zaromskis defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Jones wants to control the pace but Zaromskis is squirming around nicely.
Jones landing punches.
Jones lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Zaromskis is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones controlling his opponent.
Jones lands a heavy elbow.
Zaromskis sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jones connects with a nice short shot to Zaromskis's temple.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Zaromskis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Martin Zaromskis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Jones is looking for a kimura here.
Jones performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Zaromskis wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Zaromskis's head.
Jones sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Zaromskis defending well though.
Jones is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Zaromskis reverses the position - he's now on top in Jones's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Zaromskis!
Jones landing strikes from the mount and Zaromskis is in trouble!

And that's the end of the fight!
Andrew Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Zaromskis has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
