Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rad Rainbow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Okimitsu Fujii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rad Rainbow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Okimitsu Fujii!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rainbow fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Fujii keeps the fight on the outside.
Fujii lands a jab.
Fujii moves away from the strike by Rainbow.
Rainbow connects with a body shot.
Fujii tries for a takedown but Rainbow sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rainbow shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fujii defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rad Rainbow. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fujii dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rainbow. That did some damage!

Fujii moves into the clinch.
Rainbow struggles to land a body shot inside as Fujii controls his hands.
Rainbow is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Fujii is keeping busy.
Rainbow really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fujii pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fujii lands a nice looking kick to the body. Rainbow takes a step back to recover.
Nice sprawl there from Fujii as Rainbow shoots in.
Fujii throws a head kick that misses.
Rainbow darts in trying to clinch
and Fujii counters with a head kick. That will keep Rainbow thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Rainbow changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fujii tries to avoid it but Rainbow manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fujii to the ground. Fujii escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fujii lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rainbow at a distance.
Rainbow is breathing heavily.
Fujii shoots in but no luck this time.
Fujii shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rainbow pinned against the cage. Rainbow gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rainbow will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rainbow changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Fujii.
Fujii shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rainbow defends it nicely.

Fujii clinches with his opponent.

Fujii pulls guard effortlessly.
Rainbow trying to control but Fujii is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fujii escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rainbow gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Fujii really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rainbow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fujii is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fujii trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Fujii will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rainbow preventing the sweep.
Fujii bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rainbow's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Okimitsu Fujii dominated that round.

Fujii lands with a nice body kick.

and Fujii makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Fujii looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rainbow is fending him off so far but Fujii persists. Nope, Rainbow circles away and we're back to standing.
Rainbow misses with a takedown attempt - Fujii sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fujii fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rainbow defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fujii.
Rad Rainbow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Okimitsu Fujii.

Rainbow stuffs the takedown attempt from Fujii. Fujii gets slowly back to his feet.

Fujii closes the distance and pushes Rainbow back into the cage.

Rainbow trying to control but Fujii is working from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fujii is on top in guard.

Fujii is in close to Rainbow's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Fujii tries to free his leg and advance position but Rainbow is retaining full guard.

Fujii looks to land a combination. Rainbow sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Fujii shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rainbow as he avoids it easily.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fujii is defended easily by Rainbow.
Okimitsu Fujii seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Rainbow misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fujii drives through with a takedown into Rainbow's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Okimitsu Fujii showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Rainbow tries a head kick but it misses.

Rainbow is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rad Rainbow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rainbow listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Rainbow throws a combination. Fujii tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Fujii tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rainbow sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fujii somewhat.
Fujii shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rainbow pinned against the cage. Rainbow gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rad Rainbow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Okimitsu Fujii.

Rainbow feints a jab promting Fujii to slip. Rainbow then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Fujii slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Rainbow scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Fujii throws a sloppy head kick and Rainbow moves out of range easily.
Fujii is still on wobbly legs! Can Rainbow finish him?
Rainbow tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fujii paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Rainbow wants to stand back up but Fujii manages to pass into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fujii wants to work for an arm triangle but Rainbow is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rainbow wants to control but Fujii is keeping busy.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Rainbow is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fujii pulls his head out easily.

It looks like Fujii is going to stand back up.
Rainbow pushes Fujii off looking to stand but Fujii dives back in and keeps control.
Fujii seems to have recovered his senses.

We're going to have a standup here because Rad Rainbow wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Rainbow shoots in for a takedown but Fujii shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Rainbow closes the distance but Fujii moves to the side

and Fujii counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rainbow won't be happy with that.

Fujii thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Rainbow takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Rainbow tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fujii wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Fujii is putting a hurting on Rainbow here, landing some big shots from side control.
Fujii lands a few punches from side control.
Fujii tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Okimitsu Fujii has got the better of the ground game so far.
Fujii is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Fujii is trying to get an arm triangle but Rainbow is defending well.

Rainbow is looking for a sweep.

Fujii is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rainbow is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
You can see the frustration on Rainbow's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Rad Rainbow has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Okimitsu Fujii is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to Okimitsu Fujii.
Well Fujii has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
