Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sheng Jen Kuo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willie Leak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sheng Jen Kuo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Willie Leak!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leak throws a nice looking combination but Kuo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kuo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Leak defends it nicely.
Kuo takes a swing at Leak's ribcage but misses.
Kuo connects with a single shot there.
Leak throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kuo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Leak at a distance.
Leak shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kuo pinned against the cage. Kuo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kuo drives through with a takedown into Leak's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Leak is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kuo working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Leak has momentary wrist control but Kuo slips an elbow through the middle.

Leak lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kuo!

Leak can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kuo is looking to escape.

Kuo wants to control but Leak is having none of it.

BOOM! Leak connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Leak lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kuo is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kuo reaches up to try and control the position but Leak seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Kuo rolls and tries to escape and now Leak has his back!
Leak trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
I really don't envy Kuo right now.
Leak is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Kuo. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Leak controlling well, preventing Kuo from escaping the position.
Kuo turns into Leak and is now in his guard.

Kuo postures up and lands a big shot to Leak's brow.
Kuo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Leak swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kuo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Leak manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kuo has Leak in his guard.

Leak tries to free his leg and advance position but Kuo is retaining full guard.

Kuo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kuo tries to get out of the position.
Kuo striking off his back but it's not causing Leak any problems.

Leak trying to control but Kuo is working from the bottom.
Kuo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Leak defends well.
Kuo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Leak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kuo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kuo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Leak defends it easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kuo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sheng Jen Kuo will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A combination from Kuo does no damage.
A slow jab from Kuo misses its intended target.
Leak closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Leak darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Leak is trying to control. Kuo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kuo looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Kuo throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Leak manages to pass to side control.
Kuo tries to improve position but can't.
Leak is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kuo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Kuo manages to work his way to half guard, despite Leak's best efforts.

Kuo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Leak is trying to control the action in half guard but Kuo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kuo actively working from the bottom here.

Leak is looking to advance position but Kuo won't allow it.
Leak is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Kuo wants to improve his position but Leak is controlling well.

Leak works his way into side control.
Leak tries to move into full mount but can't pass Kuo's legs.
Kuo is looking to regain half guard here but Leak keeps moving and retains side control.
Kuo trying to control but Leak flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Leak has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Kuo has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Kuo breaks Leak's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Kuo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Leak on the ground.
Kuo postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Kuo wants to control from the top but Leak keeps moving.
Kuo distracts Leak with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Leak is trying to keep Kuo in close.
Kuo pushes down on Leak's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Kuo not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Leak is staying active underneath Kuo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kuo is trying to work for a kimura but Leak is defending well.
Kuo prevents Leak from improving his position.
Kuo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Leak's head.
Leak is pressing down on Kuo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Leak is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Kuo rolls with it to try and escape but Leak cranks on the arm and Kuo is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Willie Leak was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
