Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grant Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mutant Chernobli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norris kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Numb/Encore. Chernobli is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Slipknot-Waynd and Bleed. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chernobli fails with a takedown attempt.
A combination from Norris does no damage.
Chernobli closes this distance looking for a takedown but Norris circles away.
Norris throws a series of punches but Chernobli avoids them all with ease.
Chernobli tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Norris swivels and escapes.
Grant Norris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mutant Chernobli.
Norris tries to bum rush Chernobli with a series of wild strikes but Chernobli uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Chernobli shoots for a double leg takedown but Norris sprawls well. He's pushed Chernobli's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Chernobli slips a jab and a cross from Norris.
Norris throws a right hand that Chernobli ducks under and follows up with a left that Chernobli also avoids with ease.
Norris scores with a sloppy right hand. Chernobli should have avoided that one.
Norris tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Chernobli shoots in and drives through. Norris sprawls well.
Norris swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Chernobli checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Horrible takedown by Chernobli or perhaps it was just good defense by Norris which made him look bad.

Grant Norris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Norris loads up on a big right hand but Chernobli slips the punch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Norris stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Norris wants it to stay on the feet.

Grant Norris is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Chernobli shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Norris sprawls well. Norris wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chernobli gets slowly back to his feet.

Norris swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Norris lands with a kick to the temple. Chernobli shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Chernobli changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Norris tries to avoid it but Chernobli manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Norris to the ground. Norris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Norris misses with a combination
and Chernobli counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Chernobli tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Norris is trying to break the clinch but Chernobli is controlling him.
Norris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nice body kick there by Norris.
Chernobli looks winded!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Norris fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Chernobli closes this distance looking for a takedown but Norris circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Norris scores with a punch to the head.
Norris lands a big uppercut and Chernobli crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Chernobli looks OK. Norris waves Chernobli back to his feet!
Chernobli is rocked!
Norris lands with a right and another and another! Chernobli is in big trouble! Norris lands again and this time it's lights out for Chernobli! A quality knockout there for Norris.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Grant Norris!
