Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Benny Lokbroth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Lahm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lokbroth stuffs the takedown.

Lahm darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Lokbroth blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lahm.
Lokbroth is trying to stand up here but Lahm is controlling him well.
Lokbroth moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Lahm throws a strike but Lokbroth rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lahm holds on and takes a little breather.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lahm can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lahm is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lokbroth is controlling him.

Lokbroth is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lahm is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lahm has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Lahm stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lokbroth swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lokbroth is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Lokbroth is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lahm defends well.

Lahm throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lokbroth works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lahm distracts Lokbroth with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Lahm is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lokbroth is trying to control the position from the bottom.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Lahm counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Lokbroth!

Lokbroth is trying to control Lahm's posture but Lahm avoids it.
Lahm is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Lahm has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lokbroth's face.

A big strike lands for Lahm! That's really hurt Lokbroth and he's turned his back - Lahm keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Lahm jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
