The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McLudden gets a clinch.
McLudden is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Silva is looking for a takedown up against the cage. McLudden gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

McLudden's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McLudden tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

McLudden throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Silva tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McLudden is in Silva's guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Keithy McLudden was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Silva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows McLudden to score an easy takedown into full guard.
McLudden working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
McLudden must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McLudden is aware though and is defending well.
McLudden won't allow Silva to sweep him here.

A head kick from McLudden lands but Silva takes it in his stride.

It looks like Alex Silva has been cut.

McLudden is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Silva's half guard.
