Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Razvan Sefu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Talon Sypher!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sypher closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Sefu wants to get back to striking at distance but Sypher won't allow it.
Sypher misses with a hook to the ribs.
Sypher tries to break free but Sefu pushes him back against the cage.
Sypher's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sefu throws a wild body kick that Sypher sees coming a mile off.
Sypher lands a jab.
Sypher looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sypher connects with a leg kick. Sefu looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Sefu scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Talon Sypher has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sefu throws a sloppy head kick
and Sypher counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sypher.
Sypher wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sefu has him pressed against the cage.
Sypher breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sefu jabs Sypher to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A jab lands there for Sefu.
Sefu lands a left and a right that sends Sypher crashing to the canvas! Sefu dives into mount looking to finish!
Sypher is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sefu postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Sypher is out cold - huge knockout for Sefu!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Razvan Sefu!
