Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lenzi Tapera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Szakul Ingwar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lenzi Tapera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Szakul Ingwar!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tapera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ingwar tries to avoid it but Tapera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ingwar to the ground. Ingwar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Ingwar counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Ingwar is pressed up against the cage. Tapera has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ingwar down to the mat. Ingwar avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lenzi Tapera. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ingwar darts in and clinches Tapera up against the cage.

Ingwar wants the takedown. Tapera is fighting it off but Ingwar persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tapera's guard against the cage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Tapera looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Tapera bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ingwar's guard.
Ingwar pulls Tapera in close to prevent any damage.
Ingwar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tapera is controlling him.

Ingwar is looking for a triangle but Tapera pushes his legs off easily.

Ingwar pushes Tapera off and gets back to his feet.

Tapera shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ingwar counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Tapera uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ingwar.

Ingwar clinches with his opponent.

Ingwar decides to pull guard.
Tapera trying to control the position from guard on top but Ingwar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Tapera drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ingwar manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tapera has Ingwar in his guard.

Ingwar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tapera has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ingwar has managed to get both his arms back between Tapera's legs - danger averted.

Ingwar won't allow Tapera to get back to his feet.
Ingwar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tapera avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Ingwar wanted to stand there but Tapera had control of the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tapera is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Ingwar clinches.
Tapera drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ingwar pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ingwar throws a right hand that Tapera ducks under and follows up with a left that Tapera also avoids with ease.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Ingwar moves into range and clinches up with Tapera.
Tapera tries to score a body lock takedown but Ingwar shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Tapera tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ingwar smiles and moves away.
Tapera shoots for a takedown but Ingwar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Ingwar gets a double leg takedown into Tapera's guard.
Ingwar postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ingwar forces his way into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ingwar is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Szakul Ingwar dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Tapera dives in and scores a takedown into Ingwar's guard.
Ingwar is adopting a defensive guard.
Tapera wants to control from the top but Ingwar keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tapera looking to sit in guard and control but Ingwar gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Ingwar trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Tapera manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Ingwar pushes Tapera off and gets back to his feet.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ingwar. That's going to slow Tapera down.

Tapera gets tackled into the cage by Ingwar. Ingwar maintains the clinch.

Ingwar blocks a body shot from Tapera.
Ingwar is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Tapera is defending well for now.

Ingwar lands a takedown into guard.
Tapera trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Tapera has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ingwar is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Tapera.
Ingwar laying and praying for a moment but Tapera takes advantage and regains half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ingwar seems to be looking for submissions.
Szakul Ingwar has got the better of the ground game so far.

Ingwar is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tapera is just riding it out for now. Ingwar eventually gives up the hold.
Tapera is controlling Ingwar's trapped leg to prevent Ingwar from advancing to side control.
Ingwar is keen to just control but Tapera is a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tapera pushes Ingwar off looking to stand but Ingwar dives back in and keeps control.
Ingwar seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Ingwar scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Tapera slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Ingwar trying to control but Tapera is working from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ingwar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tapera swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Szakul Ingwar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Tapera rushes Ingwar and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Tapera wants to break the clinch but can't.
Tapera tries to pull guard but Ingwar won't allow it.

Tapera is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ingwar is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Tapera to the mat. Tapera regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Ingwar has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tapera is proving hard to escape from.

Tapera wants to get back to his feet but Ingwar is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ingwar stands up and waves to Tapera to follow him.
Good work by Ingwar as he checks the leg kick.

Tapera drives through and clinches with Ingwar against the cage.
Tapera tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ingwar smiles and moves away.
Ingwar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tapera swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ingwar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Ingwar decides to stand and escape the position.

Tapera gets tackled into the cage by Ingwar. Ingwar maintains the clinch.

Ingwar gets control of Tapera's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ingwar will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tapera is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Ingwar reverses the position - he's now on top in Tapera's guard.

Tapera escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ingwar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Szakul Ingwar is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Tapera throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Tapera wants to sweep but no luck.
Tapera is striking off his back. Ingwar thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Ingwar looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Tapera preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Lenzi Tapera has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well Ingwar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
