The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Barca.
Barca throws a nice looking combination but Sweet bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Barca rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sweet moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sweet moves out of range as Barca strikes.
Barca throws a jab when Sweet was well out of range.
Barca displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Barca's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Barca duly obliges.

It looks like Israel Sweet has been cut.
Sweet looks winded!
Sweet steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Barca.
A jab from Barca finds it's way through Sweet's defenses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barca lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Sweet tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Barca paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Barca pushes Sweet up against the cage in a clinch.
Barca tries to stall but Sweet uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Barca is trying to force a seperation but Sweet has the dominant position.
Barca prevents a takedown attempt there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A short uppercut from Barca.
Sweet is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Barca pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Barca misses with a hook from the clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Barca.
Barca lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Sweet backwards.
Barca misses with a body punch.
Barca has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Barca doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Sweet blocks a body shot from Barca.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A right hook to the body lands for Barca.
Sweet blocks an uppercut.

Barca escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Barca slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Barca scores with a jab to the head.
Nice shot lands for Barca.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barca throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sweet on the side of the head.
Barca avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sweet takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Barca lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Barca is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Sweet takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Sweet is rocked!

That has opened up Israel Sweet's cut even more.
Barca cracks Sweet with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Sweet tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Barca pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Sweet is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hannibal Barca!
