Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thompson comes to the cage accompanied by The game. The crowd seem to be enjoying Penn's choice of entrance music: Israel Kamakawiwo’ole. Joe Thompson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn throws a combination. Thompson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Penn turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Penn manages to end up in side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Penn wants to pass to mount but Thompson is defending the position.

A close round but DJ Penn will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
