PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vak Yoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller comes into a darkened arena with his song building. skrillyx kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Vak Yoo has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vak Yoo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Miller!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoo catches Miller with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Horrible takedown by Miller or perhaps it was just good defense by Yoo which made him look bad.
Yoo scores with a hook.
Yoo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Yoo defending well as Miller loads up on a big left hand.
A slapping leg kick lands for Yoo.
Yoo with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Yoo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Miller's sensitive parts.
Miller misses with a jab, cross combination.

Miller shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Yoo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Miller wants to control from the top but Yoo keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Miller wants to pass the guard but Yoo is keeping the position.
Miller not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Vak Yoo just wasn't active enough.
Yoo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Yoo connects with a leg kick. Miller looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A slapping body kick lands there for Yoo.
Vak Yoo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yoo with a body punch. A glancing blow.
The fighters circle momentarily. Yoo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Yoo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Miller shoots in for a takedown but Yoo shows good takedown defense.
Miller throws a low kick but Yoo moves out of range easily.
Jason Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miller walks into a left hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Miller finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Yoo connects with a body shot that sends Miller's belly button to the back.
Yoo stuffs the takedown attempt from Miller. Miller gets slowly back to his feet.
Vak Yoo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Miller.
Yoo works the jab nicely.
Miller attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Miller shoots in for a takedown but Yoo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Miller fails with the takedown.
Miller missing with a left hand there. Yoo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Yoo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Yoo feints and then cracks Miller's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Miller down.
Yoo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Miller fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Yoo avoids it really well and circles away.
Miller looks winded!

Miller feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miller wants to stand but Yoo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Miller in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Yoo keeping moving, preventing Miller from controlling successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jason Miller.
Yoo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Miller throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Yoo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Miller looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Yoo is fending him off so far but Miller persists. Nope, Yoo circles away and we're back to standing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Yoo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A looping hook to the body misses from Yoo. Miller does a little dance to reset his feet.
Yoo throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Yoo tries a head kick but it misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vak Yoo dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Miller is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yoo.
Miller fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Yoo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Yoo slaps away a takedown attempt from Miller, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Miller tries to close the distance and clinch but Yoo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Miller shoots in for a double leg but Yoo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Vak Yoo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Miller.
Yoo throws a front kick that sends Miller stumbling back into the cage.
Miller on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Yoo lets loose with a powerful body kick. Miller will feel that in the morning.
Yoo scores with a body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Miller stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Yoo.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Yoo.
Yoo stuns Miller with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Miller is breathing heavily.
Yoo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Miller doesn't seem bothered though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yoo throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Yoo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Yoo lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Miller doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Yoo stuns Miller with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Miller's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A nice combination there by Yoo.
Miller walks forward, straight into a front kick from Yoo.
Yoo lands with a cross.
Miller has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Yoo.
Yoo moves into range and connects with a jab.


Miller is rocked!
Yoo and Miller are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Yoo throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Miller into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Yoo knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Vak Yoo!
A very excited looking Vak Yoo made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
