The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pound lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Ankka with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Pound turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Ankka buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ankka checks a low kick from Pound.
Ankka lands with an uppercut that bounces Pound off the cage and back into range.
Ankka swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Pound throws a low kick but Ankka avoids it.

Ankka is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ankka has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pound finds it's way round the side to connect with Ankka's head.

A bone on bone clash there as Pound blocks the leg kick.

Ankka clobbers Pound with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Ankka closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pound did well to prevent Ankka getting side control.
Pound might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ankka seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pound does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Ankka wants to take a breather but Pound is having none of it.

Pound throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Ankka is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Pound had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

and Pound counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ankka dips to his left and cracks Pound with an uppercut!
An inside leg kick lands from Ankka.
Pound tries to land a front kick but Ankka steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Pound throws a shot to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Pound counters with a good low kick that Ankka was not able to check.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Pound drops Ankka with a beautiful combination! Ankka stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Pound is looking for the KO!

Rankka Ankka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ankka finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Ankka takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

A relieved looking Ground Pound thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
