The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamas has his takedown stuffed
and Mendes counters with a straight right hand.
Lamas circles away from the clinch attempt.
No luck for Lamas with that takedown attempt.

Mendes manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lamas on his heels. He'll look to pass Lamas's guard now, I'm sure.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Lamas is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Mendes rolls with it to try and escape but Lamas cranks on the arm and Mendes is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
