Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Seth Petruzinni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Craig Sutherland!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sutherland looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Petruzinni is fending him off so far but Sutherland persists. Nope, Petruzinni circles away and we're back to standing.

Petruzinni throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sutherland's waist but Sutherland gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Petruzinni off to one side.

Petruzinni closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sutherland to the mat! Sutherland manages to get full guard.
Sutherland wants to get back to his feet but Petruzinni is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Petruzinni tries to free his leg and advance position but Sutherland is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Petruzinni is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sutherland is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sutherland has escaped and now he's on top!

Petruzinni is looking for a triangle but Sutherland pushes his legs off easily.

Petruzinni has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sutherland is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Petruzinni.

Sutherland must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Petruzinni is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Petruzinni working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sutherland doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sutherland manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sutherland is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Petruzinni locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Sutherland is forced to tap!
