The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitchell lands a jab-cross combination.
A combination from Mitchell does no damage.
Some wild striking there from Mitchell.
Mitchell fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Farnsworth avoids the body shot from Mitchell.
Farnsworth tries to clinch but Mitchell is having none of it.
Mitchell lands a glancing blow to the side of Farnsworth's head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mitchell misses with a few strikes there.
Mitchell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mitchell throws a right hand that Farnsworth ducks under and follows up with a left that Farnsworth also avoids with ease.

Farnsworth closes the distance and clinches.

Farnsworth breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nice takedown defense from Mitchell. No joy for Farnsworth on that attempt.
Farnsworth ducks under a wild hook from Mitchell.
A jab lands there for Mitchell.
A combination from Farnsworth does no damage.
Mitchell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mitchell tries to bum rush Farnsworth with a series of wild strikes but Farnsworth uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Alek Mitchell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Farnsworth looks to land a body kick but Mitchell moved away.
No luck for Farnsworth with that takedown attempt.
Mitchell feints a jab promting Farnsworth to slip. Mitchell then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Farnsworth slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Farnsworth gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Farnsworth tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Mitchell is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Farnsworth buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Farnsworth!! Farnsworth is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Mitchell throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
