The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Breneman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Krutov turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Krutov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Breneman gets the takedown into side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Breneman tries to move to mount but Krutov blocks the move with his legs.
Krutov is looking to regain half guard here but Breneman keeps moving and retains side control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Breneman shoots in looking for a takedown. Krutov tries to sprawl out of it but Breneman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Krutov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Breneman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Krutov keeps working.
Breneman is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Krutov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Breneman wants to advance to full mount but Krutov doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Breneman stands and throws Krutov's legs to the side, diving into side control.
