PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jan Dudek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bam Boon I (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dudek comes into the arena with ASTRAL PROJECTION - Mahadeva blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boon I dodges the punch combination from Dudek.
Boon I fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dudek on the side of the head.
Boon I ducks right into an uppercut from Dudek.
Nice defenses there by Dudek.
Dudek throws a body punch but Boon I moves out of range.
The fighters circling - Boon I throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Boon I moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Boon I throws the left hand but Dudek avoids the punch easily.
Boon I misses with a straight left.
Dudek throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Boon I swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Dudek.
Dudek lands a jab-cross combination.
Dudek pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boon I throws a jab when Dudek was well out of range.
Boon I feints and then cracks Dudek's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dudek down.
Dudek tries a head kick but it misses.
Boon I looks to land a right hand but Dudek moved out of range.
Dudek uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Boon I.

Boon I darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Boon I throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Boon I takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Dudek is looking to clinch but Boon I is avoiding it.
Boon I lands with a thumping leg kick.
Dudek tries to land a front kick but Boon I steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Dudek tries to close the distance and clinch but Boon I swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A nice inside leg kick there by Boon I. That's going to slow Dudek down.
Dudek uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Boon I.
Dudek throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Dudek lunges at Boon I with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Boon I's hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boon I moves out of range as Dudek strikes.
Dudek checks a leg kick.
Boon I lands a really nice looking cross but Dudek seems unphased.

Boon I feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dudeks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Dudek ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Boon I throws a leg kick
and Dudek counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Boon I with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Boon I lands with a good body shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Boon I misses the target.
Dudek darts in trying to clinch
and Boon I counters with a body kick that stops Dudek in his tracks momentarily.
Dudek keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Dudek rushes Boon I and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Dudek lands a nice uppercut.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Dudek stalls.
Dudek throws a head punch that misses.

Boon I is trying to push Dudek away but Dudek has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Dudek throws a head punch that misses.
Boon I is looking to break free of the clinch but Dudek has double underhooks.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Dudek throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Boon Is head.
Dudek misses with the head strike.
Dudek has a couple of punches blocked by Boon I.
Dudek misses with a short punch on the inside.
Dudek misses with some punches.
Boon I tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dudek just stands there and leans against the cage.

Dudek tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Still in the clinch, Dudek scores with a nice short uppercut.
Dudek swings wildly with an uppercut but Boon I uses good head movement to avoid it.
Boon I misses with a punch on the inside.
Dudek scores with a shot to the side of Boon I's head.
Boon I blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Dudek goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Dudek works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dudek lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dudek scores with a nice hook to the head.
Boon I jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dudek walks away with a smile on his face. Boon I gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jan Dudek will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Boon I lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Dudek backwards.

Boon I escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boon I looks to throw the jab but Dudek is out of range.

This has been an exciting period of action!
No joy there for Boon I, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dudek scores with a decent looking hook.

and Dudek counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Boon I out cold! What a finish! Dudek is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
