The fight moves into the clinch position.

Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Silva throws a jab when Payne was well out of range.
Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Payne moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Silva moves into range and clinches up with Payne.
Payne tries to stall but Silva uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Silva tightens his grip and picks Payne up, before dumping him to the ground. Payne manages to land in guard.

Payne has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Payne has momentary wrist control but Silva slips an elbow through the middle.

Payne is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silva defends well.

Payne is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well.

Payne looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Silva is defending well. Payne quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Silva has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Payne celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
