The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raven tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Materson was well out of range. Poor timing from Raven.
Raven lands a nice looking body shot.
Raven misses with a wild body shot.

Raven darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Raven seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Raven has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Raven looks to land a strike but Materson avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Materson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Raven on the ground.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Raven accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Raven is looking to work some ground and pound but Materson has wrist control.

Materson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Materson uses the cage to get back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Materson.
Raven connects with a crisp jab.

Materson is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Raven throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Materson is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
