PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fred Zoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Vasiliev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vasiliev is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Zombie by The Cranberries. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zoo stalks Vasiliev and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Vasiliev's face. Vasiliev staggers backwards, shaken.
Zoo connects with a leg kick. Vasiliev looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Zoo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vasiliev moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vasiliev takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
A slapping leg kick lands for Zoo.
Zoo lets loose with a powerful body kick. Vasiliev will feel that in the morning.
Vasiliev on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Zoo misses with a few strikes there.
Zoo tries a head kick but it misses.
Zoo displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
A nice leg kick lands there from Zoo.

Vasiliev closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Vasiliev has an Americana. Zoo didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Vasiliev is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Vasiliev hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
