The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Joseph Jones and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pope works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Pope misses with a hook.
Kint waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pope.
Pope throws a leg kick but Kint moved away.
A jab from Kint misses.
Kint jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Pope scores with a jab to the head.
Kint fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pope looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kint throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kint throws a hook but Pope avoids it easily.
Kint misses with an uppercut. Pope saw that one coming.
Kint ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pope moves away.
Pope fails to land with a series of punches.
A jab from Pope misses.
Pope misses with the combination.
Pope looks for a takedown but Kint sprawls well.

Kint misses with a looping left.
Kint thows a left - swing and a miss!
Pope takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
No joy there for Pope, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kint scores with a hook.
Pope clinches.
Kint is trying to break the clinch but Pope is controlling him.
Pope blocks an uppercut.
Kint misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Kint wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Pope can't get the takedown.
Pope lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Pope is trying to force a seperation but Kint has the dominant position.
Pope is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kint to keep the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Pope. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pope creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kint's defenses.

Kint throws a punch but it's blocked by Pope.
Pope is looking to control Kint's arms but Kint gets an underhook and turns him. Now Pope has his back to the cage.
Pope manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kint tries to stand but Pope is controlling from the bottom.

Alexi Kint has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Kint jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Kint stuffs the takedown attempt from Pope. Pope gets slowly back to his feet.
Pope on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Pope shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kint sprawls well. Kint wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pope gets slowly back to his feet.
Kint swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pope missing with a left hand there. Kint was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

and Kint counters with a straight right hand.

Pope throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A lazy left from Kint finds it's target.
Pope thumps Kint with a low kick.
Pope doesn't manage to clinch there - Kint circles away.
Kint thows a left - swing and a miss!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Pope - that will leave a mark!
Kint looks to throw the jab but Pope is out of range.
Pope doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kint throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pope.
Pope avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kint looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kint misses with a looping left.
Pope bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Pope wants to control but Kint is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Alexi Kint will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kint fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pope manages to avoid it.
Kint jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kint swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Pope. Those never looked like landing.
Nice sprawl there from Kint as Pope shoots in.
Kint scores with a nice strike.
Pope is rocked!
Pope throws a wild hook but Kint just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Pope gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Kint raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexi Kint!
In his post fight interview, Alexi Kint started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
