PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Sharbutt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sub Mityou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Sharbutt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sub Mityou !
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharbutt tries to close the distance and clinch but Mityou swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Sharbutt shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mityou manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Sharbutt wanted to stand there but Mityou had control of the position.
Sharbutt postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sharbutt trying to control the position from guard on top but Mityou is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mityou is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sharbutt defends well.
Mityou seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Mityou pushes Sharbutt off and gets back to his feet.
Sharbutt checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Mityou throws the kick towards the body but Sharbutt avoids it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sharbutt.
Mityou throws a head kick but Sharbutt moves out of range.
Sharbutt doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Mityou counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Mityou is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Mityou in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Sharbutt tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Mityou !
