Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shayne Mustalajninen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeroen Slaerop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Shayne Mustalajninen has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mustalajninen tries to clinch there but Slaerop circles away.
Mustalajninen takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Mustalajninen shoots in looking for a takedown. Slaerop tries to sprawl out of it but Mustalajninen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Slaerop manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mustalajninen is looking to clinch.
Mustalajninen scores with a kick to the body.
Mustalajninen tries a head kick but it misses.

Slaerop has Mustalajninen up against the cage in a clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Slaerop breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Slaerop looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mustalajninen connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Slaerop's hands.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mustalajninen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Slaerop tries to avoid it but Mustalajninen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Slaerop to the ground. Slaerop escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Slaerop counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Slaerop rushes Mustalajninen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mustalajninen is looking to control Slaerop's arms but Slaerop gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mustalajninen has his back to the cage.

Mustalajninen wants to clinch but Slaerop slips to the side

and Slaerop holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Slaerop lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Mustalajninen is looking to break free of the clinch but Slaerop has double underhooks.
Mustalajninen wants to get back to striking at distance but Slaerop won't allow it.
Mustalajninen is breathing heavily.

Slaerop breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Slaerop counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Shayne Mustalajninen has been cut.
Slaerop cracks Mustalajninen with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Mustalajninen tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Slaerop pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Mustalajninen is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
