The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Ostrowski.
Ostrowski misses with a head kick.
Ostrowski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Omar Ostrowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hellberg feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ostrowski is pulling down on Hellberg's head to control his posture.
Hellberg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ostrowski swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Omar Ostrowski was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Hellberg looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Ostrowski throws a hook to the side of Hellberg's head but Hellberg sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Hellberg shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hellberg was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ostrowski tries to bench press Hellberg off him but Hellberg keeps the position.
Hellberg creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ostrowski sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Ostrowski is trying to control Hellberg's posture but Hellberg avoids it.
Ostrowski gets back to half guard.
Ostrowski is looking to control Hellberg's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ostrowski avoid being mounted?
Hellberg is nestled in close to Ostrowski, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hellberg has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ostrowski's face.

Hellberg lands a couple of good shots and Ostrowski has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Hellberg has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ostrowski trying to control the position but Hellberg manages to sink in the hooks.
Hellberg is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Hellberg gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Hellberg gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Hellberg apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Ostrowski is rocked!
Ostrowski tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hellberg is able to avoid easily.

Ostrowski gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hellberg to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ostrowski is still in real trouble! Can Hellberg finish him?
Hellberg gets to his feet and stands over Ostrowski, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Ostrowski felt that one! Hellberg unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Ostrowski from any more punishment!
