The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ropuia doesn't succeed with the takedown
and OMalley counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and OMalley counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ropuia looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? OMalley is fending him off so far but Ropuia persists. Nope, OMalley circles away and we're back to standing.

OMalley uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ropuia has time to react.

and OMalley counters with a crisp one two that drops Ropuia! OMalley thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ropuia to his feet! Ropuia is in big trouble!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ropuia wants to clinch up but OMalley keeps it at a distance.

OMalley stuns Ropuia with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

OMalley throws a right hand that Ropuia ducks under and follows up with a left that Ropuia also avoids with ease.

and OMalley makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and OMalley counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Ropuia has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
