Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcos Duarte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Raphael Nero!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duarte ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Duarte shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nero napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Duarte creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Nero sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Nero is trying to get back to half guard.
Nero takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Duarte scores with punches from side control.

Duarte tries for a kimura but Nero is defending well.
Nero is looking to reverse the position.
Nero tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Duarte presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nero sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Nero is not content to let Duarte control the position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Duarte connects with a nice short shot to Nero's temple.
Duarte not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Duarte winds up and cracks Nero with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Nero is not content to let Duarte control the position.
Duarte thows a huge punch but Nero dodges it nicely.
Nero wants to control but Duarte is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Duarte uses his free foot to push down on Nero's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Nero.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Duarte cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Nero is trying desperately to improve position.

Duarte pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Duarte can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nero is looking to escape.
Nero is still in real trouble! Can Duarte finish him?

Duarte looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Nero covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

A relieved looking Marcos Duarte thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
