The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilkinson shoots in for a double leg but Griffin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Wilkinson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wilkinson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Griffin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wilkinson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Griffin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wilkinson's back instead.

Griffin is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Wilkinson defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wilkinson just trying to survive but Griffin is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Griffin has his opponent's back but Wilkinson is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Griffin.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Wilkinson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Griffin tries to avoid it but Wilkinson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Griffin to the ground. Griffin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Wilkinson wants to advance to full mount but Griffin doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Griffin will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Wilkinson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Griffin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wilkinson has Griffin in his guard.

Griffin stands up and waves to Wilkinson to follow him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wilkinson throws a series of punches but Griffin avoids them all with ease.
Wilkinson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Griffin swats him away and circles back towards the center.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Griffin is on top in guard.

Griffin throws and elbow that misses. Wilkinson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Griffin's guard. Nice move by Wilkinson!
Wilkinson wants to get up but he can't break Griffin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
