Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Colt Compton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jim Jom!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Compton misses.
Compton jabs Jom to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Compton misses with a body kick.
Jom is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Compton closes the distance and pushes Jom back into the ropes.
Compton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Compton throws a good cross that connects.
Compton explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Compton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Compton fakes the leg kick and cracks Jom in the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A solid leg kick lands there for Compton.
Compton cracks the inside of Jom's front leg.
Jom looks winded!
Compton misses with an attempted mid kick.
BOOM! Compton lands a beautiful left hook that drops Jom. Jom tries to recover but Compton is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Jom lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Colt Compton!
After winning the bout, Colt Compton thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
