PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benton Jung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Tree (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jung comes into the arena with 'Swing Low, Sweet Cheerio' by Alice Cooper blaring out of the sound system. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tree pushes Jung up against the cage in a clinch.
Jung scores with a shoulder strike.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Jung.
Jung gets underhooks to prevent Tree's takedown attempt.

Tree pulls guard successfully.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Tree wants to sweep here but Jung controlling him for the moment.
Tree can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jung controls the pace.
Tree is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Tree is keen to just control but Jung is a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Benton Jung.
Tree is looking to clinch.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Jung moves into the clinch successfully.
Jung pushes Tree back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Tree looks winded!
Tree has had enough of the clinch but Jung keeps him there for the moment.

Jung pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jung fails in his attempt to clinch.

It looks like Red Tree has been cut.

Jung drops Tree with a nice combination! Jung dives into Tree's guard, looking to finish!
Jung's corner is telling him to maintain position.

We're going to have a standup here because Benton Jung wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tree is defended easily by Jung.
Jung tries to clinch up.

Jung throws a series of punches but Tree avoids them all with ease.
Tree tries for a takedown but Jung sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Benton Jung has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Red Tree.
Tree throws a wild hook but Jung just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Tree gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Jung raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
