Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Firefly oz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Take Down (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Down has chosen Mosh N' Roll - Bury Your Dead as his entrance music. The key to victory for Firefly oz has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Down. Those never looked like landing.
oz misses with a straight left.
Down closes the distance and clinches up with oz, looking for a takedown. Down pushes oz against the cage but oz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
oz scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Down doesn't seem bothered though.
oz scores with a crisp jab that stopped Down in his tracks.
oz thows a body shot but no joy.
Firefly oz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
oz scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Down shoots in but no luck this time.
oz lands a lovely overhand right.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Down throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around oz's waist but oz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Down off to one side.
Firefly oz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Take Down.
oz scores with the left hand. Down knows he should have avoided that one.
oz misses with a looping right.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

oz doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Down goes for a takedown in the clinch but oz prevents it.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
oz is working Down over against the cage.
oz could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
oz digs a right hand underneath Down's ribcage. Down let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Down has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by oz after a bit of a struggle.

Down is trying to drag oz to the mat but oz just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Down drops to a knee looking for a takedown but oz gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Down tries to pull guard but oz forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
oz leaning his opponent against the cage.
oz swings wildly with an uppercut but Down uses good head movement to avoid it.
oz's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Down tries to pull guard but oz holds him up against the cage and eventually Down drops back down to his feet.

oz fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
oz misses with the head strike.
oz lands a nice uppercut.

Down tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. oz just stands there and leans against the cage.
oz tries to stall but Down uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

oz slows down the pace here.

Down ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Down no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
oz trying to control the position from guard on top but Down is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Down is pulling down on oz's head to control his posture.

Down pushes oz off and gets back to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
oz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Down avoids the body shot from oz.
oz tries to close the distance and clinch but Down swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
oz fails in his attempt to clinch.
oz lands a right hook to the body.

oz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Down, pushing him back against the cage.
A right handed body shot lands from oz.
oz lands with a right to the head.
oz tries to stall but Down uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
oz misses with a punch to the body.
oz is trying to maintain a safe position but Down gets an underhook and turns oz into the cage.
Down blocks an uppercut.
Down has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. oz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Down blocks a punch to the side of the head.
oz prevents a takedown attempt there.
oz misses with a hook from the clinch.
Down drops down looking for an ankle pick but oz pulls his leg out and moves away.
Firefly oz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Take Down.

It looks like Take Down has been cut.
Down circles away from the clinch attempt.
oz lunges at Down with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Down's hand.
oz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and oz wants it to stay on the feet.

Down is breathing heavily.
Down is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

oz dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Down shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. oz defends it nicely.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
oz jabs Down right on the nose. Down blinks but takes it well.

oz cracks Down with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Down looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can oz finish him?

oz digs a good body shot into Down's ribs.

oz fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Down on the side of the head.

Down clinches with his opponent.
Nice body punch from oz - that landed with a thud.
oz controlling the action here for a moment.
Down seems to have recovered his senses.
oz lands with a light punch inside.
Down tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. oz smiles and moves away.
Donk. oz catches Down right on the button with a cross.
Firefly oz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
oz dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
oz throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Down takes one to the chin there.

oz closes the distance and clinches.
oz lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Down or not.
A nice right hand lands inside from oz.
oz misses with a short punch on the inside.
Down blocks an uppercut.
oz gets underhooks to prevent Down's takedown attempt.
oz working some nice short punches in the clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Down's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
oz is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Down can do to turn this around?

Down goes for a takedown in the clinch but oz prevents it.

Down takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Down wants to take the fight to the mat but oz manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Down changes levels and goes for a takedown here. oz fights it off and pushes away nicely.
oz throws out a powerful jab.

oz gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
oz gets through Down's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

oz cracks Down with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. oz has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Down to stand back up!
oz cracks Down with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Down falls to his knees and oz doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
