The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Phoenix.
Phoenix ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Brown swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Phoenix pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but Phoenix shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Brown misses with a straight left.
Phoenix tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Brown takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
A punch combination from Phoenix misses.
Brown moves out of range as Phoenix throws a body kick.
Phoenix scores with a head kick. Brown tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Brown scores with a crisp jab that stopped Phoenix in his tracks.
Brown lands with a nice combination. Phoenix backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Simon Phoenix has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brown shoots for a takedown but Phoenix saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Phoenix tries to clinch but Brown is having none of it.
Brown avoids a kick to the body.
