Davis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Fabolous - Breathe . Phil Davis has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayun is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Davis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mayun circles away.
Mayun looks to land a combination but Davis avoids it well.
Davis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mayun swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fighters circle momentarily. Mayun darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
nIOG Mayun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mayun fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Mayun scores with a jab. Davis acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Mayun lands with a good body shot.
Davis on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Davis takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Mayun dips to his left and cracks Davis with an uppercut!

Davis walks into a stiff left hand from Mayun.
Davis on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Mayun jabs Davis right on the nose. Davis blinks but takes it well.
Davis lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mayun backs up against the cage.
Davis is breathing heavily.
Mayun cracks Davis with an open hand slap.

Mayun is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Davis had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Mayun lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Davis goes down and covers up as Mayun starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
