The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant fails in his attempt to clinch.
Grant fails with the takedown
and Lindland counters with a good low kick that Grant was not able to check.
Grant throws a shot from downtown. Lindland moves away and avoids it.
Grant shoots in but no luck this time.
Grant looking to score a takedown here. Lindland is defending well but Grant drives through and ends up in Lindland's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Grant bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lindland wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Brandon Grant's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Brandon Grant's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

After winning the bout, Luiz Lindland thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
