Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phil Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Couture!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

It looks like Phil Davis has been cut.
A decent looking cross lands there for Couture.
John Couture seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Couture sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Couture throws a right and a left that both miss.
Davis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Couture pinned against the cage. Couture gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Couture closes the distance and clinches.
Davis has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Couture avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phil Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Davis drops down looking for an ankle pick but Couture pulls his leg out and moves away.
Nice straight punches there by Couture. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Couture.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Davis fails with a takedown attempt.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Couture, as that shot connected.
Couture dances in with a quick combination. Davis is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Couture snaps Davis's head back. Davis stumbles backwards against the cage. Couture steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Davis's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Davis just didn't come prepared.
