Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Saku Vippera!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peltonen wants to clinch.
Peltonen shoots in for a double leg but Vippera sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Vippera closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Vippera is looking to take a break and control but Peltonen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Vippera stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Peltonen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Vippera misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Peltonen.

Vippera feints and as Peltonen raises his hands in defense, Vippera changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Peltonen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Vippera working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Vippera trying to control the position from guard on top but Peltonen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Vippera drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Peltonen dives on top into guard.
Peltonen advances position into side control!
Peltonen works to advance to full mount. Vippera defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Peltonen goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Vippera is on top in guard.
Peltonen looking for a sweep. Not yet Peltonen, not yet.

Vippera thows a big elbow that misses.

Peltonen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Vippera wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Peltonen's closed guard. He's half up but Peltonen has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Peltonen pivots and extends the arm, Vippera falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Peltonen! Well done that man!
